Take one leave one

Sorry I have been MIA. I am elated that people are encouraged by my thoughts and words. I have been needing something and I cannot put my finger on it. I have had a rough couple of weeks. (I am human) So, I want to try an activity that I do in my office with clients.

In my office I have a wall filled with stickies. On the stickies are encouraging words for people to either take and use to make it through their day or week.  My office is a safe space so my goal is to have the same vibe on my blog.  People sometimes leave things they are wanting or needing to hear from others. So please feel free to join in, whether you leave something encouraging or funny to brighten someones day, I am here for it!

Also in my office are jars filled with stickies. These jars contain feelings or thoughts you want to get rid of and cannot find the means to do so. Again this is a safe space, so please leave anything you want. I will hold these thoughts and emotions with you. There is power in sharing, without having someone trying to solve your problems or tell you what you’re thinking/ doing is wrong. So, I will be here to just sit and hold all things yucky with you.

What I am going to leave: I am sad that I am not in control of the things that are happening to me.

What I want to take: Dust yourself off and try again.

P.S. After I wrote this (or a version of this) my computer did not save it, and restarted on me. I cried one thug tear but I grabbed another laptop and wrote it all over. Funny how life works. I am human so these things are difficult for me as well. I did not have control over the blasted laptop but I did have control over my decision to rewrite and try again.

With Love,

For the Culture.
